Snow Patrol is an alternative rock band. The first three album, EP Starfighter, an experimental studio album Songs for Polarbears, and When It’s All Over We Still Have to Clear Up, were commercially unsuccessful. When the band signed to a major label Polydor Records, they released the 2003 album Final Straw, which was four times platinum in the UK. It was the first success of the group. Songs «Run», «Chasing Cars» and «Signal Fire» became hits. International fame with the release of the group received in 2006 the album Eyes Open, which was replicated in the amount of 4.7 million copies worldwide. Snow Patrol have been nominated in three categories BRIT Awards and won five Meteor Ireland Music Awards. Around the world, the band has sold more than 7 million albums.
